We’re grateful — and a little amazed — to share that Goulding & Wood Pipe Organ Builders has advanced to the Elite 8 in the Indiana Chamber of Commerce’s Coolest Thing Made IN Indiana tournament.

This statewide competition celebrates the range, creativity, and craftsmanship of products made right here in Indiana. To be counted among the final eight — alongside so many impressive Hoosier manufacturers — is an honor we don’t take lightly.

This milestone is entirely thanks to the support of our community. Every vote, message, share, and conversation helped shine a spotlight on a craft that has been part of Indiana’s story for generations. Pipe organs are not mass-produced items; they are long-term instruments, often serving 50 to 100 years, carrying worship, concerts, weddings, funerals, and countless moments in between. Seeing that kind of work resonate with voters means a great deal to our entire team.

We’re also proud to represent Indianapolis and the Mass Ave Cultural Arts District, where our shop continues a centuries-old tradition of organ building through careful design, skilled craftsmanship, and deep respect for music and space.

The tournament now pauses briefly for the holidays. Voting resumes January 2–7 as the competition moves forward, and we look forward to the next round.
