Goulding & Wood Advances to Semifinals in Statewide “Coolest Thing Made IN Indiana” Tournament

Published on January 9, 2026

We’re excited—and deeply grateful—to share that Goulding & Wood Pipe Organ Builders has advanced to the Semifinals of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce’s Coolest Thing Made IN Indiana tournament.

This statewide competition celebrates the wide range of products made across Indiana, from advanced technologies to handcrafted works of art. While the format is lighthearted, the exposure is meaningful. It places our craft—pipe organ building—before a broad audience that may not often consider how these instruments are made, voiced, and sustained.

For more than 40 years, we have been building pipe organs by hand here on Mass Ave in Indianapolis. Each instrument is designed specifically for its space, crafted to respond to the musician, and built to serve communities for 50, 100, or more years. To see this work recognized alongside so many outstanding Indiana makers has been both humbling and encouraging.

Semifinals Voting Now Open

🗳️ Semifinals voting is open now through Monday, January 12.

Anyone can vote—you do not need to live in Indiana to participate. If you believe that handcrafted instruments, long-term craftsmanship, and the musical arts deserve wider recognition, we would be honored by your support.

This milestone belongs not only to our team, but to our clients, collaborators, suppliers, and the many musicians and communities who give these instruments life. Thank you for carrying us this far—and for helping shine a light on a craft built to last.
