Fire Breaks Out at Trinity United Methodist Church — Home to Goulding & Wood Opus 18
Madison, Indiana — A fire broke out late Monday evening at Trinity United Methodist Church in Madison, Indiana, causing damage to the historic congregation’s facility. The full extent of the damage is still being assessed, and the situation remains under active evaluation by local authorities.
Trinity United Methodist Church is home to Goulding & Wood Opus 18, a three-manual, 42-rank pipe organ completed in 1991. The instrument has served the congregation’s worship life for more than three decades and represents one of our most cherished early works.
At this time, no determination has been made regarding the condition of the organ. We are in contact with church leadership and are standing by to offer our full support as the assessment process unfolds.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the congregation, staff, and community of Trinity United Methodist Church during this difficult time, as well as the first responders who answered the call.
We will provide updates as more information becomes available.
